Philip Cameron, LPC

Philip Cameron, LPC

Throughout my career as a counselor, educator, and artist, I have been very fortunate to serve in a variety of unique roles, providing a broad range of psychotherapeutic services to many client groups, including children and adults experiencing low to high-acuity mental health symptoms, as well as persons affected by physical and sensory disabilities.  I have also been privileged to work with clients throughout the lifespan –from ages 3 to 100—including clients who identify as LGBTQ+ or neurodivergent.  At Prairie Wellness, I provide [telemedicine/virtual] services to individuals and couples, specializing in treatment of clients who are blind or visually impaired and members of their support network.

It is my sincerest belief that all people—irrespective of ability, age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or sociocultural background—are capable of resilience and deserve access to inclusive mental health services.  While my therapeutic approach is always guided by evidence-based research, I often employ an eclectic combination of methodologies informed by innumerable scientific, philosophical, spiritual, and artistic influences.  For each client, I strive to provide the most thoughtfully individualized and effective treatment, while developing a therapeutic alliance founded upon nonjudgmental compassion, humility, curiosity, and logic.  As a professional, I am committed to helping others change and affect change in healthy and sustainable ways, to feel productive and purposeful, and to lead fulfilled and empowered lives of their own design.
