Specialty Areas:
It is important to feel like someone understands what you are going through and is there to help. We need trust and communication, feeling like someone is working with you to tackle the challenges life is giving you. Having the right support makes a difference. I can help.
I have been in the counseling field for over 15 years and have worked with a wide range of clients and issues. I have experience with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. Over the course of my career, I have focused my areas of interest and specialty to adults experiencing ADHD and anxiety.
I have also worked with those with disordered eating/relationships with food, those experiencing work and relationship problems, depression, substance abuse issues, as well as those experiencing grief and loss. I also have a great deal of experience dealing with parenting issues, helping parents with children who experience behavioral concerns, special needs, and educational problems.
As each person is different, I focus on incorporating traditional therapies as well as creative treatment methods and alternative therapies. I utilize a person-centered approach with clients, understanding that a one size fits all approach is not what is typically best for individuals. I am also a member of the Association of Creativity and Counseling through the American Counseling Association. My aim is to provide an open and supportive environment where we share a collaborative goal of working together to help you obtain clarity and resolution.
